I think this is a WWI German fireman’s axe. I bought this at the estate of a large military collector. The entire piece from the tip of the metal to the end of the handle measures 28 inches. The wood handle piece measures 14.5 inches and the metal part measures 13.5 inches. The metal part has an etched monster design. Weighs approximately 2 pounds
