"Ardicampo" is the basque word for sheep camp. The model is Camille Pradere a Basque Rancher who owns a ranch on the Carson River. When I moved to Dayton in 1972, it was one of Camille''s old houses I moved into, and later bought. For years I helped him with ranch chores working with the sheep, cattle and cutting firewood.
