This is a print of an original painting of The Cooper House, the old law court in Santa Cruz that was turned into a cafe, music venue, and little shops. It got some damage in the 1989 earthquake. FEMA funds were available for a limited time and without any kind of a study, there was a rush to take advantage of the funds, and this solid brick building, dating back to the 1880s, was entirely demolished.
