Charming vintage ceramic ginger jar-styled table lamp base in Great Vintage Condition! Base is encircled by a naturalistic floral motif set against a soft sky blue ground w/lightly textured painted flowers including chrysanthemums and lilies in darker blues, pale lavenders and peach, and pale green foliage. Smooth semi-glossy sheen of the surface glaze imparts a luminous quality.

Dark-stained wood base accented with a brass rim and a dark-stained wood ''cap'' on ginger jar body. The brass finial in form of Oriental or Chinese ''Happiness'' symbol.

Post-modern take on Chinoiserie style (French for ''Chinese-esque'') which has seen a major resurgence in popularity recently.
