▪︎This is a beautifully decorated carved shell/ MOP figural beaded double strand necklace with liquid sterling silver.
▪︎The necklace includes many tiny circular & round sterling silver beads as a base commonly known as "liquid sterling silver." ▪︎Liquid sterling silver is a type of jewelry made by stringing together small silver beads that have been sliced from tubes of sterling silver. The result is a fluid-looking piece with strands of silver beads that give the jewelry a shiny, sleek appearance.
▪︎There are 32 birds in total, all are carved, & most of the birds are color treated in bright colors. Some birds are more stout, & some are lean. Eyes are carved onto the birds, & they are colored black.
▪︎The hook clasp & horn shaped covers where the two strands come together are also sterling silver, with the horns being marked sterling below a sun pictogram signature.
